LB,
It should be on the rear of the gun under the slot the hammer is in. Sorry no camera, I can't show you a pic.

Probably so.

The serial number on our P3AT is in the same place, letter-letter-letter-number-number.

Yep. That is it.

I checked my records and that pistol is one that I misplaced awhile back. Please bring it to me now. It will not function for you because it loves me.

Both of my P3ATs have similar ser#s. I must have dropped that P32 one day when I was in there looking for.......Thunderwar. I remember now. Hand it over.

I have a Kel-Tec P-3AT and the serial# on it is JRN15 and it is on the rear under the hammer. I thought that was strange, too, the only way I figured it out was it matched the number on the box.

all the KT pistols are serial number stamped on the rear of the frame under the hammer. That's the only exposed frame metal available to stamp.

They initially had all numbers before going to a alpha prefix.

My P32 is 005x8 and my P3AT is 005x8, only one digit not the same.

The polymer grip on the P-11, P32, and P3AT is not the frame of the pistol. It is meant to be replaceable without replacing the "firearm" by federal definition. The frame is the metal insert that fits into the grip. That spot below the hammer is about the only place where enough of the frame is exposed where they could put the serial number. When I bought my P-11, I had to tell the clerk at the gun shop where to find the serial number (it was used and didn't come with the box with the S/N on it). He was nice and otherwise knowledgeable, but he couldn't find that S/N  .
Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
