Re: Carjacking(Houston)
Since i have to go to bad parts of town at night my gun is usually already out and on my lap. Doors are locked and windows tinted so i do have a good advantage. If i am getting pulled over (hazard of being out at night) I can put it back in the holster before the car is stopped, never been an issue since officer cant see in the back window he wont get spooked by the movement. Honestly though i have never even had someone look the least bit suspicious and didnt think jacking was a real problem in Houston. One other thing, bangers cant point the gun straight so not much danger in getting shot. Always said if i get in a gunfight with a banger i am going to stand right in front of him, never get hit!

Even bangers with the gun held sideways have a disturbingly high hit rate at 18 - 24 inches.rm9792 wrote:Since i have to go to bad parts of town at night my gun is usually already out and on my lap. Your current technique carries a risk that someone may observe the exposed gun in your lap and report it to law enforcement, in which case you would have some explaining to do. You may want to consider installing a hidden but easily reachable holster for your time in the car. A secondary clip on or paddle holster worn on the off side, or a shoulder holster could also work in that circumstance with a covering garment.
It was either Bill Jordan or Jeff Cooper (maybe both). In any case, if they couldn't do it, I'm not going to waste any time thinking that I can.pedalman wrote:Wasn't it Bill Jordan who said that you can't out-draw a drawn gun?
