Please pray for Agape...

Re: Please pray for Agape...
We'll be looking for an update Monday. We're still praying for her complete recovery. I'm also praying for a financial blessing for you; unfortunately, these little guys aren't on our health insurance policies.

Agape Update (8/26/08):
Hi everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know what is happening here with Agape. I picked her up at the Animal Hospital this afternoon and she is at home now. She is still a very sick little girl. Her doctor said that she has done all she can do for her and if this medication that she sent her home with does not start to heal up the sores on her in 7-10 days that she would have to send her to Dallas for more test and evaluation. If Agape has to go to Dallas her doctor here said that she would be able to do the follow up after their evaluation, so I would not have to take her back and forth to Dallas...thank the Lord. However, she did say that Agape did not have any new places to break out on her in the last couple of days and that she is encouraged that this medication is working for her. What they found out was that she has a Methicillin Resistant Staph Anreus (MRSA) infection.
By the way, I did talk to Agape's doctor (concerning the unspeakable) and she said that Agape was not suffering or in constant pain and that she felt like she was going to make it...she said we will know more in a couple of weeks.
I have been trying and trying to figure out how she could have come in contact with a staph infection, because she is with me 24/7 and I know everything she does and everywhere she goes. However, I think I have traced it back to her last grooming!! She was groomed on Friday 8/1/08 and I noticed the first place on her little eye lid on Monday morning 8/4/08. That has to be it. I haven't called the groomer yet, but she is fixing to get a call!
On top of everything else, I have to wear protection when I touch her because of my heart transplant I do not have an immune system...it just never seems to end does it?
I want to thank each and everyone for your prayers. Please continue to pray for her, as I said, she is still a very sick little girl and we really don't know yet if she is going to make it.
Thank you, and God Bless You!

Prayers continue. We all hope the news is good over the next week.
And for you. The Almighty is already watching over you, because the infection hasn't spread to you even though you've been touching Agape for the past three weeks.
Stay well, my friend.

Re: Please pray for Agape...
update: 9/2/08
First of all, I had to take Agape back to the hospital. I can not be around her until those places heal up on her because of my immune system. My transplant team doctor called and said that under no circumstance can I be around her.
I went up to the hospital this morning and took her some of her favorite food. They have been having a hard time getting her to eat and I was hoping that they would not have to put her back on the IV.
I did talk to her doctor this morning and she is still optimistic that this new medication will help her, however, she has had a couple of new places to come up on her which she was not to happy about. The doctor said that the new places were not as violent as the others have been and the older places seem to be getting better. Her advise was to keep doing what they are for another week and see where we are then.
Thanks everyone, I do know that you are praying, and I appreciate your prayers more than you will ever know.
God Bless You & Thank You!
