Funny - when I saw that segment where he removed the "clip" from the gun, I though to myself "...uh, it's not a clip - it's a magazine.... Oh, wait, his character is roll playing - he's trying to act like a lowly security guard - probably good he referred to it as a clip to make himself look the part." I let it slide and assumed they were trying to think a couple steps ahead.

Then I noticed he left a round in the chamber - I'm thinking to myself "hmm, the gun's not totally empty. He obviously isn't stupid enough to think the gun is 100% safe now - maybe it's a backup plan in case he has a chance to grab his gun and shoot the bad guy." I thought it was another good tactic. So long as the bad guy doesn't call him out on it, was it really a bad oversight? Or a good plan?

The episode was a little off pace with the previous episodes - but I still think it's one of the better cop shows on TV right now.

I also caught the sniper / bank episode where he forgot to lock the bolt. No excuses there - that was pathetic.
