Best Gun Shop 2008 -Fort Worth Weekly

Quite surprised to see Shooters Club on 28th Street, Fort Worth, in the "Getting and Spending" category of the "Best of 2008" [Fort Worth Weekly: 24-30 September: page 29]. Has FW Weekly put a gun shop in the 'best of' before - or is this a departure from their usually left leaning content?

I've seen these "Best XXX of Fort Worth" things come out all of the time. Generally the way these things operate is that they are a form of advertisement. Companies that pay an "application fee" will find that they get put on the "Best XXX" section of their pamphlet, article, etc.

I too was surprised to see a "Best Gun Shop" in a very liberal periodical.
I wasn't too impressed with their choice.

I'll bet they got some mail over that one.
