This shooting happened a couple of weeks ago. In the article it indicates the shooter was a CHL. He was charged with murder at the scene and posted bail 2 days later. Now ruled homicide.
Don't get to many murders in New Braunfels, although armed robbery seems to be rising. There appears to be allot of information missing in this story and the crack investigative reporters at the Heral-Zeitung paper have not printed much about it. It really has never said how these guys know each other and how they are connected. Lots of facts missing! But we have just recently completed the Comal County Fair and they have probably been busy reporting on the steers, goats, and other livestock. Maybe now they will have time to spend on this.

Anytime someone is shot and dies it will be ruled either a homicide or suicide. If a police officer shoots and kills someone it's ruled a homicide. The ME or coroner is just ruling as to the cause of death- not whether is was criminal or not.Now ruled homicide.
The key for this individual is whether or not he is convicted of murder. The grand jury may no-bill him before it goes to trial. Keep us informed if you follow this.
