"Love it! Love it when I can melt them down!" said Michael Chitwood, superintendent of police in Upper Darby Township,...
How do you suppose this guy would feel about confiscation?

"They'll never be used in a crime again, they'll never hurt anyone again,"

Can he guarantee that a piece of pipe will not be used to committ a violent crime???? :???:
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. Thomas Jefferson

They should compact the cars involved in a DWI. Makes just as much sense.

"They'll never be used in a crime again, they'll never hurt anyone again,"

"They" never hurt anyone in the first place. A real live, flesh and blood PERSON is at fault, NOT an inanimate object.

A gun is a tool, nothing more. What is so hard to understand about that? :confused5

If these folks want to condemn and demonize something, how about assign the blame to the person behind the tool. That would be kind of a novel idea, huh?

I guess I'd better go and check on that .22 rifle I keep in the bedroom closet, I don't shoot it very often...so for all I know it could be sneaking out at night and "hurting people". Sheeesh....

It is the person behind the gun that is dangerous!.....or is it?......

maybe I should have a hidden camera and video tape my gun collection......I may just find out that they come alive and talk with each other (like in Toy Story).... :biggrinjester:

That's why I got out of that communist state!
Hummm...and to think that Camden, NJ is like the 3rd worst city to live in, in the US. I wonder why they have such a high crime and murder rate.
