I had some firearms to sell, but I've canceled the ads.

I found this AR15 upper in a flat top from Galati International and ordered it. It will be here in 2-3 days. I also ordered the extended charging handle for it. Later, I'll pick up a new bolt/carrier group for it. For now, I can just switch my Bushmaster bolt/carrier when I change the tops out.

What is the best deal going for an red dot or holographic sight for someone who is pretty tight on cash?

Anyone think some of this reaction is maybe a bit of an over reaction? Obama doesn't take office until January and even then he isn't going to walk right in and outlaw all assualt weapons and ammo. You have to figure it is going to take some time for them to get a bill through, if they even have enough votes to pass it. Not every democrat in the senate is anti-gun. Some of them are from very conservative states and aren't going to vote for passage of a bill that will lose them votes from their constituents. It seems to me that they are all going to be so distracted by dealing with the economy, gun legislation is not the first item on the agenda. I agree that the issue is going to come up eventually, but such a devisive issue would only serve to work against Obama making good on his pledge to reach across the isle. This crazy rush to stock up on rifles, handguns and ammo is most likely going to subside over the next few months as folks settle down a bit.

BSA Optics has some very inexpensive red dots. I just picked up this one at Academy for $120, has light and laser as well as integral lens protection: http://www.bsaoptics.com/scope.aspx?product=302" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Had it to the range once to sight it in. Mounted on top of the carry handle.

Time will tell if I should have spent $500+ on an Aimpoint or EOTech. Usually you get what you pay for, but I'm not sure I yet appreciate what the extra $400 was going to get me.
it's socially unacceptable to be ahead of your time.
