Favorite Prayer

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Favorite Prayer

Post by John »

Not a part of me often shared... Do anyone have a favorite prayer? This is one I try to live by, kept in my daily diary,
Lord, "Make me an instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O heavenly Father, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life." -Saint Francis of Assisi

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and enough firepower to make a difference.
We're here. With gear. Get used to it.
