:iagree:

Obama has supported banning hundreds of rifles and shotguns commonly used for hunting and sport shooting. (Illinois Senate Debate #3: BO vs. Alan Keyes, 10/21/04

Obama voted to allow reckless lawsuits designed to put the firearms industry out of business. (S.397, vote 219, 7/29/05)

Obama supports a mandated national registry of all firearms owners. (Obama Campaign website, 12/11/07)

Obama voted to ban almost all rifle ammunition commonly use for hunting and sport shooting. (S.397, vote 217, 7/29/05

Obama supported increasing taxes on firearms and ammunition by 500%. (Chicago Defender, 12/13/99)

Some Obama quotes concerning his position on Gun Control:

“I am consistently on record and will continue to on record as opposing concealed carry” (Chicago Tribune, April 27, 2004)

“…just because you have an individual right does not mean that the state or local government can’t constrain the exercise of that right…” (2008 Philadelphia primary debate)

“I think it is a scandal that this president did not authorize a renewal of the assault weapons ban.” (Illinois Senate Debate #3: BO vs. Alan Keyes, 10/21/2004)

“I’ll continue to be in favor of handgun law registration requirements and licensing requirements for training.” (Chicago Defender, 7/5/2001)
It goes on and on and on……….!

Obama’s objections to guns (and gun ownership) is surpassed only by Joe Biden.

Neither of these Leopards will change their spots, you may be sure of that!

Which lower did you buy and how much did you pay for it? I went in there at lunch on Monday and the CMMG lowers were $109. Went back Tuesday evening and they had jacked them up to $149. :mad5

I bought the CMMG lowers on the internet, then picked them up at the store. Because I bought on the internet, they were $109. If I had just gone into the store to buy they would have been $149.

I got the impression they would have loved to have charged me the in store price but realized they couldn't. I have found with Military Gun Supply that you get better prices buying online than in the store. When I go to pick up my purchases, I always get the impression that they think I should have paid the in store price, but they always charge me the online price.

In my interpretation this means no guns will have to be turned in to the Govt. We do have Ex-Post-Facto in this country (thank you God, and the founding fathers) that prevents many retro-active laws and punishments. (ex post facto laws are prohibited in federal law by Article I, section 9 of the U.S. Constitution and in state law by section 10)
I would feel better about that if I thought that Obama really believed the Constitution says what it says. He doesn't seem to believe that it does when it comes to matters concerning the 2nd - witness his opinion that Heller was wrongly decided and his ensuing statement that he believes local governments may restrict the 2nd. Neither does he believe what the 1st says - witness his campaign's several attempts to have the FEC haul John McCain into court for his insistence that Obama's long time associations with radicals and terrorists bore looking at. So I don't believe for a New York minute that Obama gives a rip about Article I, section 9 of the U.S. Constitution, unless it can be used to justify his intention to disarm Americans. In THAT case, he'd be all about Article I, section 9 of the U.S. Constitution.

The good news is ... The NY Judicial system just recognized a 2nd amendment right in the Colaiacovo v. Dormer case: http://www.eeul.com/mb/2008/11/i-did-no ... e-the-day/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If NY is starting to recognize Heller maybe some good is on the horizon for Gun Owners
