19+1 !!! and I thought 16 rounds of 40 was good. Good job Springfield.

I would really like to see the XDm in the 9mm. I have the .40 XDm and love it.

I just brought one of my buddies home from an all day visit to the shop (took two trips actually) for him to decide on a new XDM40. He has very, very limited knowledge and experience with weapons, but within 10 minutes I had him field stripping and cleaning it on his own. I suggested he buy a 6 pack of snap caps to practice loading, clearing, dry firing, etc. before we take a range trip for live fire. I think the safety features on the XDM should be very good for a novice shooter. He couldn't wait any longer, else I kbow he would have held out for the XDM9. I was very, very impressed with everything about the XDM, with the exception of the humongous overall size, but my friend will probably never conceal carry, and the gun will be more of a house gun for him.

The XDM looks like an excellent, large framed handgun.

Yeah, my XDm is not my carry gun. I would be if something happened to my Kimber and it needed to go in the shop but other than that, it's just a fun second gun. But I do like it!!!
