Just a heads up, but there will soon be quite a few model 65's on the market in Texas. The S&W rep at the TCLEOSE convention last week told me that TDCJ had just traded in a couple hundred model 65 duty revolvers. They have a couple thousand more that will be traded in over some unknown time period.

I wasn't interested so I did not ask which dealer handled the trade in or who was selling them for S&W. If your local gun shop is a registered S&W dealer, you might get them to contact their account rep and ask about them.

Haven't shot it yet but can't wait. Actually went in looking for a .357 but they were out. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Cool!

You will have fun with it. May be buying a set of dies and some H110, N110, 296, or 2400 soon - and some Unique for light loads.

The versatility is amazing and the fun is, well, fun! Do not be surprised if you find yourself looking at things like cowboy hats, boots, and leather vests... and Vaqueros in .44 mag...

Shoot it and enjoy it. The lever action rifle is an American icon - part of our heritage - and I think you will feel that in it each time you pick it up.
