Dallas police investigate 2 shootings on same street

At 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jorge Cano Munoz, 39, was awakened by someone attempting to kick his front door in.

When Mr. Munoz opened the door, he saw a gun pointed at him, said Senior Cpl. Kevin Janse, a Dallas police spokesman. As Mr. Munoz pushed the gun down, it fired, and the bullet hit him in his right leg.

Not sure why it would be a good idea to go and open the door (armed or unarmed) if someone is trying to kick it in?
