Being a flashlight junkie, I ordered one of the O Light T20 last week. Range report to follow.

I carry a Fenix P1D every day and it's a fantastic pocket size light, very powerful, but like all of the CR123 lights it eats batteries. I ordered a couple of those for gifts for my primary co-workers.

:woohoo
Glad I'm not the only junkie here. My dependencies in order are pistols, lights, and knives and watches. I usually have the T20 on my person and keep the M20 in the nightstand next to the Glock 37.

I have the Olight T20 and love it. Super light pattern and intensity. The memory feature to return you to your last used mode is a fantastic feature that I didn't have on my previous tac light. I got a second set of rechargeable batteries, but have never needed them yet (5 months old!)

I highly recommend it!! :thumbs2:

As a side note, I got mah flashlight the other day, and it is awesome.
it's compact, seems ruggedly built (though I ain't putting it through a torture test, cause $60 ain't nuthin' to sneeze at...)considering the price, and that it is probably brighter than the sun, this thing is a steal.

the *only* thing I wish it had is a momentary on function. it's either on, or off. but the strobe function is very fast, and disorienting (if you're into that kinda thing), and the 5 different levels of intensity is really neat (to save on yer battery life).
the batteries, well, I wish they were AA's, but you can get these fairly cheap at ol' Battery Junction, too (it seems like a good price for batteries, considering Batteries + is selling them for $7 for ONE!!!!).

so, in conclusion, I believe this is a great deal. just leave one for a buddy of mine that needs to get one, too.

This is a real relief to know there are other flashlight junkies here.I have three Fenix lights, a P1D, P2D & P3D, all of them are the Cree Q5 and amazingly bright to be so small. I have had very good battery life with each of them, also.

Shoot, try finding a mounted flashlight for a shotgun! I can't seem to find them for much less than $300!

Did anyone order one with the smooth reflector instead of the orange peel?

I am curious to know if the smooth indeed gives better beam projection.

I have a Birthday coming up in about 12 days...and I just might order one for myself.

You may already know this flintknapper, but the orange peel reflector is supposed to be a smoother, slightly broader beam pattern, with slightly less effective range. I believe I read somewhere that orange peel reflectors are supposed to tame the irregularities inherent to LED. In the end, it comes down to your own preference. Would you rather light something up a couple dozen yards further away? Or would you rather project a slightly broader beam with a larger hot-spot for self-defense?

I recently purchased a Fenix LD20 for daily carry, which is good for 180 lumens at 2.5hrs, or 9 lumens at 71hrs. Not sure I believe the 9 lumens part - this light is still brighter on "Low" than my other "tactical" flashlight that's supposed to be good for 65 lumens. I always thought 65 lumens was bright - at least until I got this Fenix light. I was able to illuminate an entire 100 year old oak tree about 50 yards away with enough light to effectly defend myself. My father-in-law tried the same thing with his $20 65 lumen light, and you barely tell his light was hitting the tree at that distance.

I also purchased a Fenix L2T as a gift for my brother-in-law to take camping. It's good for 152 lumens at about 2.5hrs (older LED technology), and also has a low setting, but I don't remember the output or run-time.
