Perhaps you could get in contact with a supervisor or chief for an informal discussion of the matter? You might ask if it is SOP to disarm someone, and present your side of the interaction to him. Perhaps he could better educate his subordinates regarding the specifics of the law pertaining to disarming a CHL holder.

no he stuck my XDM in his pants and walked back to his car so for a few min he was armed with a quality side arm
the matrix thing was good though
my other guns were in my bag though i could carry all of them on me if i wanted to

i gave him my CHL and DL then he came around and disarmed me 2 sec later
