That's exactly what I mean. This didn't all just start happening last week. These propaganda pieces are designed to sway public opinion in support of a new "assault weapons" ban. They are timed in advance of that push to get people all worked up and ready to hop on board for it.

Correct. There are also phony "academic studies" being published as part of this same effort to create a body of what appears to be reliable information that can be used to support an unsupportable agenda.

Why don't we just pressure Mexico to legalize guns for it's law abiding population like we do here so that they can protect themselves from the traffickers, thus lowering the homocide rate?

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

The Mexican government understands that when civilians start shooting bad guys, that mostly its gonna be Mexican government officials that are gonna be shot. Just because they are wearing a uniform doesn't mean they are the good guys. Most people over find the drug lords more honorable and respectable than the officials or police.

The Houston Comical has never been anything worth more than bird cage liner...

I no longer get upset or waste time reading it...Nor am I surprised by what is printed by them...

This is the sign of things to come. The truth matters not. What matters is the hysteria that can be created in the minds of the people that, in turn, will have them demanding of the politicians to take action to save them from the terrible guns.

Yep!

I think TacShot has hit the nail on the head.

I suspect we will have lots to discuss in the near future regarding this kind of journalism.
