Taurus is offering a $75 rebate on a PT1911 bought by 12/31/08. Yesterday I saw a blued PT1911 for $536 and a stainless PT1911 for $598 at Champion Firearms in College Station. After the rebate the blued one would only cost $461!!!!
That should make a good present for somebody wanting a 1911 45acp.
I have no connection with Champion Firearms. I'm just passing on info that I think is a good deal.
Last week Academy had the PT1911s on sale for $579. This is an even better deal.
I'm not a 1911 person, but I'm still a good guy. I got a S&W 442 for my present this year.
