dallas arms collectors gun show at Market Hall- Any good?

Post by shawn »

I got a buddy that is new to shooting and wants to go to a gun show. We were gonna wait for the classic gun show next week end but I noticed this one was this weekend so I'm thinking about going.

Are they any good?

This is a very large show with many dealers and a great variety of products on display. It is highly recommended.

Get there early - by 15 minutes before opening time there will be an outside line of around 300 - 400 people, and parking will be hard to find.

I really can't get there until Sunday afternoon. I wonder if the lines will have died down a bit by then.

More than likely they will. At the last show I attended on Saturday, I left around 1 PM and there were only about 100 people in line outside. I would expect the lines to be much shorter as the end of the show approaches on Sunday.

This is the best show in the DFW area. For a new shooter, it is a great opportunity to look at, touch and handle almost any gun they may be interested in. I try to make at least two of their shows every year.

I was thinking of going to this show but deciding not to...I don't know. Depends if I get everything around the house done.

The DACA Market Hall shows are, hands down, the best in the region. It's the only show we've chosen to exhibit at for the last several years.

FWIW, the show began closing at 4:00 on Sundays a year or three back. Some of the vendors start packing up before that, so don't drag your feet too long before getting there Sunday afternoon. I must do a class on Saturday but Sunday will probably be around Table L-16 so, if handy, drop by and introduce yaself!

dang you were kidding about the line! I've never seen a line at a gun show like that!

It was a good show. Came home with a Sig Mesquite 22 pistol. I forgot how much plinking away with cheap ammo was! My buddy got a 9mm as well!
