Ft Worth Stock Show posted 30.06

Post by Hyunchback »

JR at Keyboard and a .45 blog writes a polite but to the point letter to the management over posting the Ft. Worth Stock Show as 30.06.

That's too bad. I actually went to the show a couple of weeks ago. It was great. But as I have not yet received my CHL in mail and I wasn't carrying, it didn't even occur to me to look for a 30.06 sign on the way in. I had planned on going next year, and my wife, son, and mother in law are really looking forward to it, so I'll go anyway. But, I'll have to be vigilant for that signage. Hopefully, they received enough complaints to reconsider their stance.

I'll be glad to as soon as it's confirmed for this year and they didn't change their mind.

I called their main # and the lady didn't know the answer and transferred me to the guy in charge and he said there will be a 30.06 sign posted at the entrance. :mad5

You have to put yourself in the manager's place. He doesn't want somebody to come in there and shoot up the cows. How you get to and from the door is your problem.

The TSCRA can pull out of the show.

Boycott, That is the only thing these businesses will understand. Our rights will continue to be chipped away. They have a right to post their signs and we have the right not to give them our money, I hope they go broke along with all the other whacky liberal business owners.

Boycott? You expect them to notice our absence?

I think a lawsuit against the organizers is what needs to happen.
I'll contribute.

TSRA should be spearheading this.

Are the stockyard facilities Private Property or are they owned by the City? This would make a difference!
I know Billy Bob's is posted, but I think that is primarily a 51% alchohol facility. (I don't get over there much.)

The North Side stockyards area are mostly privately owned individual properties. That is not at issue here.

The Will Rogers Complex West of downtown is where the Fat Stock Show is held, and it is owned by the city of Fort Worth.
