My new range buddy..... (Added First Range Pics 1/19)

Post by AggieMM »

Take a look at my new range buddy:

Image

She turned 9 today, so I thought it was time for her first gun. Can't wait to take her to the range!!!

Ryan

[Edited 1/19/2009: I added pictures of her first range visit on page two of the thread, and I also included them here]

Well, I finally got to take her to the range today. She had a great time, and did well on her first visit. Here are a few pictures from today:

Here is a picture of her with her targets. The one she is holding was her first target at 7 yards, and the one in the background is one at 15 yards.

She's already to go again.

That smile has got to be saying "let's go Daddy." Great to see family interacting. Say Happy Birthday for me!

Ryan, You and the Mrs. do good work.

I hope to meet her at a Texas Tactical event sometime.

Regards
Carl

Edited to add...I just noticed, her fingernails match her new rifle. Excellent enthusiasm.

Cherish her and teach her well. She will be a teenager before you know it.

Thanks for all the kind comments. She still has that smile on her face, can't wait to go shooting. In fact, she's been bugging me all day for a range trip. Guess I'll have to take her to the range one day after school this week.

The smile says it all.

Cherish your time with her. Daughters are a special gift from God above.

If it's ok with her, you need to post a pic of her first target afterwards!

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me
