Have I procrastinated too long?

Post by XterraJohn »

My CHL will have expired 1 year ago on January 30th. I already have my packet, but haven't taken the class yet. If I take a class this Saturday and mail the packet on Monday, will I be okay, or does my renewal have to actually be processed before the 1 year expiration?

Thanks!

It looks like you're safe if you submit it within the 1 year grace period. Cutting it this close, I suggest paying for proof of delivery.
6.21. Renewal of License.
(a) Grace period. A license holder whose license has expired may submit an application to renew the license up to one year after the expiration of the license. After one year, the license holder will be required to reapply as a new applicant.
