US Attorney General Nominee Eric Holder, Gun Grabber

Post by TxD »

Gonna get ugly.

"Just last year in a brief to the Supreme Court, Holder argued that “the Second Amendment did not protect an individual right to keep and bear arms,” that it only protected government militias’ rights to guns. He claimed that the Second Amendment posed no obstacle to implementing gun bans."

He has not yet been confirmed. Here is How you can help hold Holder.

The confirmation hearing by the Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled for the 15th of this month. We still have a couple of days available to contact our Senators and ask them to do what they can to put a stop to this confirmation.

Obama promised change. He didn't promise the change would be for the better.

Good thing he doesn't determine the meaning of the constitution. Drafting a letter to my senator right now.
IANAL, what I write should not be taken as Legal Advice.

Just sent letters to both Texas Senators. I hope many others will do the same.

It is going to probably get a whole lot worse before it gets any better.

Using the above websites, I applied a GPA to the judiciary committee using the one site that "graded" the committee members. The overall GPA was 1.1, meaning there are far more anti-gun committee members than pro-gun members. IF we count those given a "C" as Pro-gun then its 10 Anti to 8 Pro (one guy has no known record). If the C senators don't lean our way then its 10 Anti to 5 Pro. Bummer.

Why would a government need an amendment to do what they can just make as a law, this is truly an amendment our forefathers saw as a requirement to keep our government from disarming it's citisens
It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end-to-end, someone would be stupid enough to try to pass them
