Going to San Antonio...

Post by stevie_d_64 »

Sorry for the self imposed hiatus lately, and spurious lackluster participation here as well...

But I need to know if I'm good to go...Ohhh, that almost sounds lyrical...

I'm going to a big political thing...Yes, my rangetime and shooting have been curtailed for a short period of time...But alas, I will revert to my old self very soon...

I'll be packing that Glock 23 for the trip with only 27...yeah, thats about right (one reload) in my superb C-Tac "undercover" holster...

I'll look rather dashing (Wife Unit comments) in my new Armani, so concealment will be very stylish...Cuff links and everything!!!

Am I missing anything???

Ohh, wait...This isn't PDO!

See...I may be losing it...

Y'all have a great time at the IDPA shoot!!! I'll be thinking of all of you...

Be safe!

I always thought higher of you than this, Stevie.

You are not of to see Kinky are you?

Wow! Very uptown. I've been wondering where you've been. Your absense has been noticed. Glad all is well.

Lets just say I've been busier than a one-legged man in a gluteous maximus kicking contest...

No, I am not going to hang out with Kinky! Not a good thing to do while the leash has been extended for me to attend this event.

I did have one moment of panic at the last minute...I couldn't remember if the Gonzales Center in SA was posted...

But, in the interest of being fair, I carried anyway, and noticed "no" signage applicable to us...

We took care of a lot of the parties business, and managed to slip into a few receptions where I met and conversed with a ton of our elected officials...I knew most of them before hand, and we all had a great time...

As far as talking shop, I have had many opportunities to discuss issues with mine and a few others State Reps...And all goes pretty well...We stand a lot to maintain, and possibly gain in the next session in 2007 if we keep conservatives and highly ranked and NRA/TSRA rated officials...If we don't...We'all, we got some work to do...

I can tell you there is one State Rep I know personally who came to me and asked me what I thought about "open carry"...

For whatever you think about it, to have someone other than us talk about it speaks volumes! Finally!

Gotta run, lunchbreaks over...

Its a safe bet I hear that if it has an "R" beside the name, you'll be ok...There have been many times where I had to hold my nose and hit the "cast ballot" button recently...

But don't take my word for it...I tell folks that its not so much that I contend who you vote for...Just go vote!

My Democrat counterpart agrees, and promotes this issue with equal enthusiasm...
