Sooo... It begins

Post by KRoyal »

It seems Obama wasn't in office a day and he has already began stopping some of our carry rights.
Controversial late rules by the outgoing Bush administration include allowing the carrying of concealed weapons in some national parks and prohibiting medical facilities from receiving federal money for discriminating against doctors and nurses who refuse to assist with abortions or dispense contraceptives based on religious grounds.

Great.

Not a big issue in Texas as most parks are state, but a much bigger issue in the West. Go to public wilderness areas in California- thats where you want a CHL. Forget the animals, its the people.

Didn't know that. Thanks!

Do you know what larger state parks have fed land?

I think it is a big deal because on his first day he is starting to fringe on our carry rights as a nation not just Texas, Its only a matter of time before he starts fringing on everything else that us gun owners hold dear. JMO of course

Yeah, and so is Big Bend, right? The SPI thing hits home for me, we vacation there nearly every year.

Does this really surprise any of us? The day I heard that the parks would allow carry starting on Jan. 9th (I think it was effective starting the 9th), I told my wife that I fully expected the law to be in effect for only 12 days. Now it is suspended pending review. I wouldn't plan that Texas CHL Forum Day at Big Bend in the Spring, yet, Charles.
Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

It never went into effect he put a hold on Bushes "Midnight Orders" as they call it. Did you guys also see where he put a hold on the trial of all the inmates at GB the guys that were involved with 9-11 are now getting a 120 day recess from trail and they are wanting to shut the whole joint down. Things that make you go hmmmmm one day in he is already starting his disarm campaign and stopping the, what would sure be death sentences for the radical muslims behind that horrific attack. Again JMO I'm just going to be the one saying I told you so to all the lefties.

FYI. Lake Amistad is a NRA (National Recreation Area) and NRA's fall under the NPS. I think some of the area around Lake Meridith in the panhandle is also a NRA.

No, he can't.

The rule already went into effect. If he wants to undo it, he has to go through the comment process again.

Relax, everyone.

We still have park carry.

:iagree: That is the way I understand it. http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?secti ... le-6616193" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; from ABC.

"...Another Bush administration regulation that went in effect this month overturned a 25-year-old federal rule that severely restricts loaded guns in national parks. For rules that have already gone into effect, the Democratic-controlled Congress might be able to help the Obama administration by using the Congressional Review Act, a legislative tool to bring new federal regulations under scrutiny."

Calling all Obama fanatics.......Is that enough for you to understand just how Anti-2A Civil rights he is? If not, I will ask you again next week. I am sure his confiscation scheme will be in place by then.

:totap: This is me waiting to welcome back all "Obama-crazed" gun owners after the spell fades. Come home little ones....come home... :cryin
