She sees the light

Post by barres »

The wife has finally decided that she needs to get her CHL!

After we got home from a trip to do some shopping on Saturday, my wife found out that one of the stores we went to had been the scene of an armed robbery that morning. One of her co-workers took the CHL course this past weekend. Of course, I am always pointing out situations where people could have defended themselves more easily, had they been armed. She has even started making those comments before I have, of late.

So part of our tax refund this year will pay for her to take the class and get her license. :thewave
Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Congratulations!

So often all of the talking, pleading and logic in the world goes unheeded, but let them hear one "guess what happened close by" story and you have a convert.

Good for you.

I am still working on my wife; who is a teacher; and is afraid she'd be fired if she even got one.

This is Texas. Unless she's in Austin I would doubt that sort of thing would happen.

Just no CCW on campus.

My wife is a teacher with a CHL. She doesn't carry on campus.

While I know this, I need to convince her of it. She;s a stubborn woman. She borrowed my car once and took my TSRA sticker off the back when she parked it "so she wouldnt get arrested"

She started teaching in Illinois, and moved to be with me in California, so it could be argued it's my fault. :smilelol5:

That's great news!

Yah, I married a teacher as well (smart move on my part and yours I'm sure) Have her PM my wife is she ever has any questions or I would be happy to pass her concerns along.
