I've read up a bit here and on the State Police website on the CHL rules for Louisiana.

I've learned (and anyone feel free to correct me if I have anything wrong) so far that it is legal to carry in your vehicle, the casinos are off limits because they more than likely will have a Class A license, hotels with a casino will have a separate entrance that I can use to avoid the casino floor while carrying, and that any "no guns" sign is considered notice, regardless of where it is, what color it is or what language it's in, and LA has reciprocity with and recognizes the Utah CFP...

Does anyone know if the Shreveport Convention Center is posted? Any advice on places I should or should not go (for safety, monetary, or gun related reasons)

Shreveport Boardwalk is posted. LEO's cannot even carry there unless responding to an incident.
