Define School Grounds PLease

School grounds where a school sponsored activity is on-going - TPC §46.03(a)(1)
School bus, or other school passenger transportation vehicle. - TPC §46.03(a)(1)

Hello All,

I was reading up on the do's and don't of CHL. And came across the section quoted above. I understand that we arent allowed guns in elementary, middle, HS and college. But I have a situation that i need help clarifying.

I am a Post-Doc, and I dont have traditional classes at the universtiy. Most of my classes are off campus. They are in either hotel conferance rooms, office buildings, private hospitals, or "teaching" hospitals.

So if i am having class at one of these locations and there is no 30.06 sign posted, am I on school grounds?

I would say a hotel conference room is not school grounds, but that doesn't mean it's legal to carry. The law says it's an offense to (among other things) have a firearm "on the physical premises of a school or educational institution, any grounds or building on which an activity sponsored by a school or educational institution is being conducted" which can be interpreted in many ways.
