I've gotta do a CHL class Saturday, but should be mostly "hangin' out" at the table on Sunday - if not wanderin' around checking out "needs".

If any of y'all make it to gun show Sunday, drop by Denton County Sports Association table and say "hey". It's nice to be able to associate more names with faces.

FWIW, one of our members told me the other day that he swore what he saw in Houston a week or two ago was Kel-Tec's new 9mm, not their .380. I'll be curious to see if there are any of the new 9s there.
And The Wife better hope I've left the AMEX at home.

Was good to meet ya in Denton. ' Understand about the "need" to shoot some 9s.
FWIW, I'm still hangin' on to the Glock 29. Even tho daughter's wedding last weekend set back the "fun money" bigtime, I just can't let the 10mm go - not real cheap anyway. Heck, you KNOW I'm broke if lookin' only for a new Kel-Tec.

Was good to meet you as well. My 29 is on my hip right now. I was sweatin' like there's no tomorrow this morning while moving out of a 10x25 storage unit. The little 29 was drenched when I got home and took it out of the holster. I wiped it off with my dirty shirt and it's good to go.Greybeard wrote:HV -

Yep, how well I understand! ' Just got finished this morning putting last jag of sand back in bullet trap after maintenance - 1,313 pounds of lead to recycler. (And I learned long ago that ya don't put more than about 4" in a 5-gallon bucket or ya don't pick it up!)
In this weather, and days to come, good on ya if ya can carry the little powerhouse "brick", but it's drawstring shorts and 340 time for me!

TX - For what it's worth, the "standard" Glocks (17s, 19's, 27s etc.) at gun show in Denton a couple of months ago were going out the door (including sales tax) for around $490 to $500.

Well I can get LEO pricing which I believe is $398 on a standard G27. Glock was nice enough to extend LEO pricing to Fire/EMS and some others through LE dealers only unless someone want to price match. I"m holding out, probably end of summer.Greybeard wrote:TX - For what it's worth, the "standard" Glocks (17s, 19's, 27s etc.) at gun show in Denton a couple of months ago were going out the door (including sales tax) for around $490 to $500.
