Awesome Bersa thunder mag safety removal mod.

I stumbled upon this vid on youtube and boy, i tell ya, this is an excellent mod. I didnt like how you couldnt fire with out the mag. Now it functions in full DA/SA with or with out the mag. only took three minutes.

also another question, i bought this at a pawn shop, which way is the right way for the recoil spring??

Been a while since I had a Bersa, but I've had a couple other similar guns. If the spring is tapered, the wider end should be at the muzzle end, and the narrower one at the breech.

Yep. I even put a little paint on the skinny end so I knew which way it went

How about a mod. that can make it condition 1 carry? This would basically take the hammer drop out of the equation when you put the safety on.

edit: I'm talking about the UC9, not the .380, sorry.

Man, I don't know if I would trust a mod from someone who doesn't even know the right terminology for the parts he is monkeying with.

Besides the gratuitous "Clip": he calls the magazine safety "the bar here"; the disconnector "this thing here", "trigger", and hammer"; "single or double trigger"; and those are only the ones I recall from one viewing, there are others.

i performed the mod now it functions beautifully. the mag safety was the one feature i was not fond of. Now this pistol is road worthy.
