We were checked in by a pleasant seeming woman named Dora who had a thick accent so I had difficulty understanding her.
It wasn't until we got to the room that Mrs. Chemist said to me: "Well she didn't need to say that."
"Say what?" I asked.
She said "I'm not a fan of your group."
Now I'm angry.
I don't really care one whit what this twit thinks about our group and I certainly did not ask her for her opinion.
I will be passing this on to the TSRA people in charge of selecting a hotel.
If Hampton doesn't want our business, then we can go elsewhere.
If Hampton does want our business then they can school their employees to keep their politics to themselves.
Yes, she has the right to free speech. I have the right to do business elsewhere.
I'll be sending a letter to the management of this hotel and to Hampton corporate headquarters.

Re: TSRA Meeting - Hotel Check In
That is very surprising. I have attended this event for the past three years and decided not to go this year because that particular hotel was booked.
I have written two letters to the corporate office about how absolutely kind the staff was to my Wife and I on each visit. I attended last year with a newborn and they even opened the back room for my wife to relax with her while our room was prepared for early check in.
That stinks that you had a bad experience. Have a good time at the show.

I thought it was in the bylaws of the Texas Federation of Cat-jugglers local 1911 that we weren't allowed to get angry???
What gives???
Think of it this way...That receptionist might not be there to greet us next year...They'll probably promote her...
