Has anyone used a laser bore sight?
What was the type (or model), caliber, and did you like it?
Thanks!

Re: laser bore sight
Used one to sight in the red dot scope with laser on my .223 at about 50 yds. First outing to the range the rifle pretty much was dead on with the scope and attached laser. I'd wasted about 30 rounds trying to sight in everything prior to getting the bore sighter.
I forget the brand, bought it at Academy, cartridge type. Downside was as it got hot the laser dimmed, so I had to work quickly.

it's socially unacceptable to be ahead of your time.

Same here. I used one for my AR that a friend bought at Acadamy or Gander I can't remember. On paper at 50yrd with some tuning it was plugging holes at 100yds.

Re: laser bore sight
Mine is an NcStar, and the only problem I have had with it was trying to get it aligned with the bore axis. Once I got it centered, it got my sights, both iron and optical, lined up right so that all I had to do at the range was tweak them a little to be point blank at 100 yards.
When I am not using it for bore sighting, I take it to work with me and harass the birds in the store. Great fun.

Got the Cabelas version. Works fine.
