Planning vacation in Texas...

I'm going to be visiting my daughter and ex wife in Brazoria county. I'll be flying into Houston and driving, my question is: Are law enforcement officers from Houston to Brazoria easy to deal with when it comes to CHL's or not?
I'm a California resident *waits to dodge flying beer bottles....* with a Utah CHL. I figure as long as I have my CHL and DL displayed on the visor and properly identify myself I should be fine. Maybe even carry the letter from DPS that states Utah is recognized in Texas?

Welcome Jamez. Why would you display your CHL and DL on the visor? This is not required, and IMO a very bad idea. Have you become familiar with the Texas laws, 30.06 signs, 51% signs and prohibited places?

Once you get past Pearland, Brazoria County is rural. The cops are not likely to have big-city attitudes. If you just obey the traffic laws, they won't pay any attention to you.

Best to drive with the herd and avoid getting stopped but most Texas cops seem OK with CHL. And MPA allows car carry without a CHL so you're covered even if the cop doesn't know about Utah. Enjoy your visit.
