Thank You!

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Thank You!

Knowing that folks are praying for you during troubling times is one of the greatest gifts God gives us. Not to mention the power of prayers ascending that we aren't even aware of.

Approximately two years ago one of my immediate family members was forced to defend *self and others resulting in a fatal shooting. Due to the delicacy of the incident, and out of respect for the families of all involved, I was unable to go public about it and with my very active involvement in the gun community I felt it best to let my web sites and activity in forums fade away, lest a media circus ensue.

The handling of local media by the law enforcement community during this time was so incredibally professional and correct that we could see the hand of God and His people through every event along the way.

Some of the folks on this board were privately made aware that we needed their prayers (without divulging any details) and that made a world of difference during that time.

The most I can say about the entire ordeal is that when it finally landed on the DA's desk he considered it such a blatently self defense case he determined it wasn't even worth taking to a grand jury (which is EXTREMELY rare, even in Texas). However, someone died, and that someone had friends and family who loved them, and out of respect for those folks I will never elaborate more on this incident beyond the scant details in this post.

The prayers and support of certain members here contributed a great deal to keep our spirits up and faith intact.
Enough time has passed that I have recently judged it safe to return to my former pro-gun activities and I want to say to those of you who gave me advice and prayed for our family (including those who were uplifting us in prayers we never knew about): I am forever grateful to you all and God bless you.

The prayers from the group of people on the site are a powerful, deep from the heart, and pure desire to help their fellow man (or woman) in time of need.
I'm glad you survived a nightmare that the rest of us can only imagine.

It keeps me believing.
There will always be prayer in schools as long as there are tests.
