Dave and Busters Austin
Can anyone tell me if Dave & Busters on Research Parkway in Austin is posted 30.06? I signed up for a seminar to be held there and would like to know prior to heading out.

I'm betting they will fall under the "businesses that derive 51 percent or more of their revenue from the sale of alcohol for on-premises consumption" law and you can't carry there regardless of presence of a 30.06 sign or lack thereof.

Alright!
A seminar in a 51% conference room.

Re: Dave and Busters Austin
I'd be a little surprised if Dave and Busters was 51%. Aren't they a restaurant and very large arcade establishment along with the bar? Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong place, but the D&B in San Antonio was not 30.06 posted last time I went, and I didn't notice a 51% sign anywhere.

I'm just guessing...the last few company events I went to at the one in Dallas everyone had a brew in hand, including yours truly. I didn't look for a 51% sign, definitely would have noticed a 30.06 sign, but I wasn't toting anyway since it was a company function and company policy requires me to be 'naked' or forfeit my job. Perhaps they have the answer on their corporate site...I'll go take a look.
Re: Dave and Busters Austin
The database shows they have a LB license, which is a late beverage and allows them to sell mixed drinks until 2AM. They do not have a FB which would guarantee they were no 51%. The only way to know for sure is to physically check their license or call email the TABC and ask them to verify it.

Here's a link to a thread on Dave and Busters" over at HR, but no real answers posted there. Pretty mush identical to our discussion here with the same points:

I've carried there twice in the past year.... there is no way it's 51% Much more money wasted on the dang video games and addictive Daytona simulators.
If I am wrong, then I was just joking about the statement above.

I go to the one in Arlington all the time, No 30.06, no 51%, just the standard unlincensed possession of a concealed weapon that doesn't apply to CHL's.
