Look'n for a Colt .45

Post by Jacob Staff »

My wife is looking for a pistol and wants to try shooting a 1911. She tried a Colt Commander 1911 at the store and really liked the feel of it. She is leaning toward an aluminum frame to reduce weight if it does not effect recoil too much over a steel frame. I'm thinking Kimber Pro Carry II. Her .22 hits whatever she points it at and she has no problems shooting 9mm but she does not care for my XD9.

I don't suppose anyone will be at PCS tomorrow around 3pm with a 1911 she could tryout :coolgleamA:

She has good taste and I can definitely understand her not being enthused with the XD!

I won't be at PSC tomorrow but I will be there next Saturday AM for the women's class. If she hasn't shot one by then drop me a PM and I will bring my Kimber for her to shoot next Saturday.

I don't claim that you can handle a threat better with a .45 than without it, but why take chances?
