Houston Zoo

Post by bjthompson »

I've searched but can find no reference here about carrying here. Can one carry in the Houston Zoo? Does this meet any wierd requirment in the code or is it posted perhaps?

Thanks

There is no posting, and I believe it is government property so any posting would be invalid.

I've always carried when I have gone there, without any problem at all.

Funny I did a search for zoo and it returned zero results. Did a search for "Houston Zoo" in quotes and found a number of posts. :???:

Like most forums, a search on three characters will not return any results, because you'd get way too many non-pertinent results and (maybe) it'd bog down the server.

The Houston Zoo is managed by a private company, but it is on property owned by the City of Houston, so, even if it were posted, you're good to go. The last time I was there (I was carrying) I looked for 30.06 signs thoroughly and found none. Enjoy yourself, be safe, and watch out for all the dangerous wildlife outside the zoo!
Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Not only is it not posted, but I understand there's some great hunting inside there, especially if you want some endangered species trophies. :reddevil

Is the Dallas zoo the same situation? We're planning a trip sometime soon.
