Funny story: (shortend)
Incident happens – 2 buddies get CHL.
One of them gets wife VERY nice diamond earrings for Valentines Day. Much gossip about that, only to learn the truth is he got her a pistol and it did not go over well so he also got her earrings shortly there after.

Now that the truth is out, and the girls are talking, CHL is brought up, and they all want to sign up (my wife included)

Ha Ha. I get teased all the time because I got my fiance a Walther 380 before she got her ring. She just doesn't want to get her CHL, but she will go target shooting with me.

herself (her .380) and she's gaining the skills to use it, so the next logical step is to have her

I worry about her going to and from work. She works at the mall that was number two on the list from the most crime in Houston back in November. She doesn't think it is that bad though. That perception may be because it is mostly car theft and burglary of cars. My sister-in-law may be going after hers soon so I might be fortunate if they do it together as a girl thing. She was slightly relieved to get it to replace the baseball bat by the bed though. We live in the sticks and it would take a considerable amount of time to get here, so that is an added plus. I would never twist her arm that much though as that would just make her mad at me. I think it is best she does it on her own terms.
