Re: questions to clear up
Brian,
The no-gun circle type signs have no legal bearing on a CHL. But if someone finds out you are carrying and tells you to leave, you must do so.
The 30.06 sign must be posted in the exact wording of the law, with the two languages and with the one inch letters to be legally enforceable. The law specifies contrasting colors also. There is some debate on how the law will work if the letters are on a clear background. There is also some debate over the sign not being quite perfectly worded or not quite one inch letters. Again, if someone tells you to leave, the signs do not matter.
As a general rule, I do not recommend going anyplace with even a no-gun circle posted as I take it to meant they do not want to do business with me. Many very reasonable people think these signs should be ignored since the poster would post the right sign if they really did not want our business. I will, obviously, leave that decision up to you.

Re: questions to clear up
I personaly try not to do business with any place with a "gun buster" sign but when I am required to do so I ignore the sign. I also won't inform the place of state laws due to fear that the sign will get replaced with a 30.06 sign
It is easier to get an airport security clearance than a CHL
