I'm a long time shooter and have been contemplating getting my CHL. I have been reluctant, however, because of my friends horror stories about delays, photo re-dos, fingerprint re-dos, etc. I am missing several fingers on one hand and I have ran into problems just getting my drivers license because the expert behind the counter did not know what to do when I was unable to provide 2 thumbprints. What kind of issues will I run into trying to get an already difficult to pass set of CHL fingerprints? Are they going to panic & require a bunch of extra junk when my set is a few prints short? I'm just not sure I want it bad enough yet to run around chasing medical records or something.
Thanks in advance

Re: Incomplete Fingerprint Set
That shouldn't be a problem. There is a protocol for the person taking your prints to indicate missing digits.
"Ees gun! Ees not safe!"
Re: Incomplete Fingerprint Set
It is not a problem. If you don't have fingers, we can't give them prints. You would not be the first person with less than 10 fingers to get a CHL. We just make a notation on the fingerprint card for each missing print, and all is fine.
