GOOD day = deals on two (2) snubs

Post by doc540 »

Even with this flood outside.

Maybe all those years of clean livin' are gonna pay off after all. ;)

My dad asked me to find him another budget .38 snub, so this morning I set off in search. Planned to visit about 10 pawn shops and gun stores.

FIRST STOP at a pawn shop not more than a mile from the house, someone had sold a Taurus, Ultra-Lite in stainless. Looked to have had 10 to 20 rounds through it. BAM! There it was. Never had to make another stop.

But, wait, it gets better.

Been looking for another snub for my bride to keep in her car.

POW!!! Won a Gunbroker auction for a pristine Smith Model 60, and the seller lives within about an hour's driving distance. No tax, no paperwork.

Comin' a flash flood here right now, but it's been a HELL of a good day.

pics soon

You have to love it when everything just falls in line like that. Congrats on the good deals :)

Congrats on the snubs!

I'm with CainA. I only see used guns at NIB prices (or higher) when I go to pawn shops.

That is a nice looking snubbie. I have owned a Model 36 S&W Chiefs special for more years than I would like to remember and it is still going strong. I have had many guns over the years, traded and bought, however, I have held on to my little snubbie and I still carry it when I need something a little smaller than my 1911. Congratulations on your good luck in finding what you were looking for.

FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.
