With my luck it'll turn out he was in the back stock room with somebody else's wife and left his stuff in a hurry when they heard hubby arriving. I won't be able to show up in the same thread as Nitro for months.

Actually, I don't know that he broke a law. What law was broken? And before you say 46.13, I must point out that this law is not broken until a child actually has access to the firearm. And since the articles say it was found by a father and son, we don't know that the law was truly broken.nitrogen wrote:We already know he broke a law.

So, what you're saying is that they're overpaid? After all, the guy at the Whataburger driver through window gets all that and more for a lot less money.tfrazier wrote:I just don't see enough appreciation for these guys who are literally out there being spit on, getting slapped, shot at, cussed out, vomited on, etc. etc. etc for about 35k a year to balance out the instantaneous piling on of the public wanting a pound of flesh from them every time they make a mistake.
That's about the most ridiculous response I've seen anywhere on this forum to date.KD5NRH wrote:So, what you're saying is that they're overpaid? Well, it looks like you were right, Steve, regarding where the gun was left at...."srothstein"
And for all of those wondering where it was left, I would bet it was in his shopping cart . People leave all sorts of things in the cart when they get their bags out, especially if they empty the cart at the check out but pick up the bags to walk out. I have left my checkbook in the cart, and I have lost count of the number of women's purses I have taken in like that. I don't know too many Dollar General stores with public restrooms.

Pflugerville Police say the DPS trooper who left his gun in a Dollar General shopping cart will not face charges. The gun was left in a bag along with the trooper’s badge and ID.
The case was presented to a prosecutor but the charges were not pursued due to a lack of evidence.
Then you don't know the meaning of the word ridiculous. Studies have shown that police do not have the horrible, dangerous job they claim to, and that several lower paid professions are far more dangerous.tfrazier wrote:That's about the most ridiculous response I've seen anywhere on this forum to date.KD5NRH wrote:So, what you're saying is that they're overpaid?
