Hey guys,
I was just looking for yall's opinion about this scenario.
My girlfriend works at the Omni in downtown Fort Worth. This weekend for her birthday I was planning on buying her a new pistol such as a Tomcat or Kel Tec so that she could have something to carry since they have to park away from the hotel and walk two or more blocks. The problem is that the Omni doesn't allow firearms at their hotel. Also, she has to walk on the sidewalk through Tarrant County Community College property to get there.
My questions:
Is it illegal for her to carry in her purse while walking on a sidewalk through a campus, assuming Omni allowed firearms?
She can still carry in her car on the property, and able to leave it in there while at work without violating any laws?
Appreciate any solutions or ideas, and no offense to women, but we know that they seem to be easier targets.

Does she have a concealed handgun license?

Re: Carrying a pistol to work
If she has a CHL, it is legal for her to carry on the grounds of a college campus, just not in the buildings, so yes, it would be legal for her to walk across the campus. She can legally keep the gun in her car on the Omni hotel property, but if the Omni's employment policy forbids it she could still be fired if they found out about it.
