I think TxD brilliantly embedded the probable truth in there without making it obvious.TxD wrote:1911? AR? .30 cal Mini?

Do you think it'll be like a Mini-14 that takes AR mags or more like a plastic AR with a gas rod?Skiprr wrote:My bet: Ruger is entering the AR market with new mechanics that do not use the standard Stoner gas system.
I'm thinkin' not a Mini-14 remake but a new, for Ruger, AR-15 with a variant piston-operated system. I'd also bet they do make extensive use of Tupperware in both upper and receiver. Announcement will come at the opening of the NRA Annual Meeting in Phoenix. But I'm guessing wildly; I really don't know anything.boomerang wrote:Do you think it'll be like a Mini-14 that takes AR mags or more like a plastic AR with a gas rod?Skiprr wrote:My bet: Ruger is entering the AR market with new mechanics that do not use the standard Stoner gas system.
