Based on your post, I decided to check out my local WalMart in McKinney - same story! Unfortunately there was no 45.

I'm starting to feel lucky based on finding ammo on my last two trips - although this weekend I didn't have to go to Florida to find ammo!

Thanks for the heads up!

Same story for the Wally World in Little Elm/Frisco (423 and Eldorado) About 8 boxes of .40 left and about 10 boxes of .45 left but it was a 9mm Jackpot. 15 boxes of 9mm and the clerk said there were 2 more cases of 9mm in the back! The best part....she didn't strictly adhere to the 6 box limit. I bought 4 boxes of 9mm and 4 boxes of .40 with no issues. Happy shopping! ;-)

There are now only 14 boxes of .40 at the Walmart in The Colony. I forgot to look at the 9mm.

Thanks for the heads-up. They are sticking to the 6 box limit. I may send my wife or a friend by to see if there are any left in a little while.

I just got back from the Wal-Mart in Lewisville off of 3040 and they had 9mm, .40, and .45 in stock.

I bought 6 boxes of .40 and they guy asked me if I needed any 9, and I told him I could always use a couple extra boxes. He told me to go and take my purchase outside and to come back in a few minutes later because they were about to bring out the 9mm. I went out and put my purchased ammo in my truck and went back in and picked up 4 boxes of 9 and 2 more of .40. :anamatedbanana

Another posting from earlier on Sunday, 5/24/09, said that Plano and other Wal-Mart
stores had gotten a lot of ammo. That got my hopes up.

At 5-6 PM I checked out 3 of them.
Walmart, W. Main, Lewisville. Just a lonely box of .25 in stock.
FM3040, Lewisville - Nothing. All you earlier jokers beat me to it.
Hickory Creek, FM2181 - At 6 PM they had 7 boxes of .40. It was
gone by Midnight. Again just a lonely box of .25 was left.

The Colony, 121 Service road - JACKPOT!!! At 1225 AM on Monday,
Memorial Day, I found 14 boxes of Blazer, 9mm, 115 grain, FMJ, for
$8.97 each. I found a clerk to get the key to the ammo case. The
funny thing about it was that the right half of the ammo case had no
lock at all on it.

She did state there was a 6 box limit. I took 6 boxes.

So all you earlybirds within driving distance of The Colony -
there's 8 more boxes of 9MM to be had. Go for it!!
Good luck!!

Bass Pro Range, Grapevine - I'll see you soon!

This morning, about 8:30 or so, the Wal-Mart in Dickinson (FM 646 @ I-45) had .40 and .45 CCI Blazer brass. We bought the last three boxes of 9mm.

Carter's Country in Pasadena had a good selection. We bought another five boxes of 9mm Blazer, two boxes of Speer Lawman .45 ACP, 1000 rounds of Winchester .22 LR HP and one lonely WWB box of .38 special for just under $250 total. They also had Federal American Eagle in 9mm, .38 special, .40 and .45.

Shame on you for providing the Mexican drug cartels with information
on how to replenish their ammo. LOL.

I saw a ton of .40 and 9mm (and some .45) this weekend in the North Dallas burbs. Had to go to at least 8 walmarts to find a brick of .22lr though :(

If you see .22lr, I need a few thousand rounds :)
