Why Are CHL Photos Referred To As Passport Photos?

Post by Abraham »

Why aren't CHL photos called... CHL photos?

Calling them Passport photos sounds kinda odd and misleading...

Grumble, grumble, grumble.

I'm gonna get CHL photos for my passport.

I guess the DPS could call them CHL Photos........

The reason they are called Passport Photos is because they meet the same requirements as Passport Photos with regard to size, frontal appearance, background, etc....... :???:

It also means you can walk into any photo place and they know what you need when you ask them for two passport photos.

But I think Abraham should insist on calling them CHL photos when he goes to get his. "rlol"

:iagree: That said, Chas. posted a site some time back where one could download a Passport Photo program for $10 and make your own photos. it's pretty cool. I used it, for all things, to make our Passport Photos to renew our er, uh...Passports.

Is this like your previous questions: "Why Do People Blog" or "Why Do People Watch Dog the Bounty Hunter"? The answer to this question is quite obvious. CHL photos would be more expensive than passport photos, they would be available only at stores that aren't 30.06 posted, and you would have to 6 months to get them printed. :tiphat:

Went into AAA to get pics done a few years back, and asked for CHL photos. The girl almost choked, pointed out the gunbusters sign on the door and asked if we were armed. I told her that we didn't do illegal things.

I'm quitting AAA.

I know exactly what you mean. ;-) Keep asking away. I enjoy your posts.
