I thought the aluminum framed snubs couldnt be polished due to a factory coating on the frame? :confused5 Looks great!

I believe the only aluminum (or alloy) frame in that picture is the lower left pistol that is marked "Airweight". All the others are solid steel, 2 being Colt's and the Nickel Plated Smith. doc540 can correct me on this as necessary.

Just because they are snubby's does not mean that they are alloy frames -or- only 5 shots (Colts are 6).

So, I don't understand what you mean by 'Polished", unless you thought for some reason that the Polished Nickel Plated Smith (which is a Mod 36 Chief's Special) is an alloy frame (which it is not).

They look like a box of doberman puppies!

...just kidding. Those are some fine looking snubbies. You've got a real love affair with the genre, don't you?

My carry requirements dictate snubs, so I currently own a few of them.

My wife also shoots them easily and confidently as home defense guns.

Clockwise from top right:

Colt Agent, alloy frame w/Duracoat finish
Colt Detective Special, steel frame
Smith M360 Scandium/aluminum frame
Smith M36 nickel plated steel frame

So far, the Colt Agent is ruling the carry roost

Thanks for the clarification doc540. I missed the Colt Agent as being a Alloy Frame....... :???: :tiphat:

Yep, the DuraCoat hides the aluminum frame.

And aren't we glad?
