Home Owner - 1 Intruder - 0

Post by baseballguy2001 »

FORT WORTH -- A homeowner shot and killed an intruder early Sunday after hearing someone in his backyard, police said in a news release.

No one else was injured in the shooting that happened shortly before 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 8100 block of Camelot Road near Willow Creek Park in far south Fort Worth.

I see these stories from time to time and I just shake my head. When somebody is on property that doesn't belong to them after midnight, uninvited, they are making a life threatening decision.

From the Dallas Morning News, this occurred in the 8100 block of Camelot Road. I thought it might be useful to see what the houses and backyards looked like. If anyone else is interested, here is the view in Google Maps:

These look a lot like my house and backyard. My backyard is small and fenced in so no one can accidentally wander into my backyard.

EDIT: Adding the DMN article link that had the incident location: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent ... a3f34.html
