Waco: drive-by shooter shot by defender

Post by seamusTX »

After a fight at a house in Waco around 1 a.m. Saturday, two men came back and started shooting at the house. A woman who lives in the house returned fire, fatally shooting one of the occupants of the car. No charges were reported at press time.

We certainly like to hear about people defending themselves. That said, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.

there is no way on earth that this was a random drive by target. Sounds like a feud has been cooking for quite some time.

I also read all the "comments" following these news stories to get the local impressions. This story has a funny smell about it.

I don't recall hearing about this on the evening news but I agree with Jim on the other shoe thing.

I put a Google alert on this event. Only the one story in the Waco Tribune appeared.

[Update] The local TV station has the same story, almost word for word, on their web site:

Detectives tend not to work overtime if they don't have to. If there is any other news, I would expect it to come out later this week.

I probably just missed the story Jim. May have been on a channel I wasn't watching or something. I'll watch for a trailer to it.
