Did my part to help save the economy..........

Post by john L »

Found out last month, that since my wife is disabled she would receive a stimulus check of 250 bucks; we kind of chuckled about it and stuck it in the bank. Then, this month, we find out that since I'm a disabled veteran, I received a stimulus check of 250 bucks this month.

Well, we got to talking about it and how the money sitting in the bank wasn't really going to do anything to stimulate the economy; after all, we want to be good citizens and they want us to spend it to help stimulate the economy. We came to the conclusion that, the best way for us to do our part, was to use our stimulus money to buy the wife a new pistol!

So, at this time I'd like to thank President Obama and his administration for our new PT 111 Millennium Pro and the new Laserlyte laser we picked up for my PT 840. We can't say that we've ever had an anti-gun president treat us so well.

The best gun salesman any President has ever been.

I wonder if an industry insider could share with us how guns and ammo sales in Q4 of 2008 and Q1 of 2009 compare to previous years...

Me and a local gun dealer have discussed how President Obama has ironically been one of the best presidents for guns so far. He has gotten more people to buy more guns than any previous President AND all gun related legislation he has signed has been pro-gun. Now if he could please quit doing such a good job getting people to buy ammo I would appreciate it as I had to drive 30 miles to get .45 long colts today. And now the new stimulus checks are going out to the disabled so they can afford to buy some guns too!

If everyone would use their stimulus money to but a firearm, it would make be feel better about the taxes. Congratulations.

Seriously, you should send him a thank you card, maybe anonymously. Would be hilarious.

Just how much of an impact Obama's recovery program had on the pace of job losses is up for debate.

Obama has claimed as many as 150,000 jobs saved or created by his stimulus plan so far, even as government reports have shown the economy has lost more than 1.6 million jobs since Congress approved funding for the program in February.

Obama initially offered his stimulus plan as a way to put people back to work, a promise that 3.5 million jobs would be saved or created. The administration's predictions that unemployment would rise no higher than 8 percent already have been shattered.
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

Cool! :cheers2:

I received a letter from the VA telling me that I would be getting 250 as well. I don't have a wife to get another 250, (darn)......but I put my 250 towards my new SS Vaquero in .357, or was it my Marlin 1894C in .357? Oh well one of those anyway........... :thumbs2:

The sad part is although I got the letter, I have yet to get the 250 ! "rlol" :totap: :smilelol5:
