It always saddens me when a police officer is killed in the line of duty.

Although he is not a Texas lawman, he still gave his life to protect others:

Lord I pray for this brave officer's family. Only You can heal a broken heart, only You can still the storm of doubts, questions and unbearable pain...for You are the God of comfort. Be at their side and walk with them through the turmoil that lies ahead and I thank You Father, in Jesus' name.
